Narrator—3rd person

This narrator is external to the story, not a character in the story. There are 3 types:

1 Omniscient: all knowing; reveals behavior and thoughts of all characters. 2 Limited omniscient: limited knowledge; reveals behavior and thoughts of primary character(s) only. 3 Objective: impersonal; reveals only characters' behavior, not inner-thoughts.
