How to Read: Point of View

Point of View—change out

"Babylon Revisited" as narrated by Marion: "Oh, lord. What's he doing back here? He's ruined so many lives, the bastard. Once a drunk always a drunk. It's not possible that he could be a decent father to Honoria. It would dangerous to turn her over to him. For my poor sister's sake, I won't allow it.

Result: we would miss the story's complexity— Marion's manipulative qualities, Honoria's revealing lunch with her father, and the possibility that Charles is worthy of reclaiming his honor and life.
