Who’s Pru?
Pru is my favorite cousin. Actually, my only cousin. Still, I think she’s terrific. Some people consider her clueless (there is that, yes), but when it comes to book clubs, Pru’s an expert. She knows a lot—as well she should, having belonged to so many.
Sometimes I feel sorry for her. Book clubs don’t always appreciate Pru’s distinctive approach to literature—or her social graces—and not infrequently suggest she find another home.
The thing is, Pru means well. And she has a lot of down-to-earth book club smarts to offer, as I’m sure you’ll realize when you read her letters.
Simply put—there’s no one quite like Pru.
